Day after Christmas shopping and Breakfast with my boys!

Today went into town with both of my sons...we visited one of my favorite stores and did a little after Christmas shopping. I was able to pick out two gifts, and also purchased another small Christmas tree.

Received a beautiful pillow made by my dear friend Deni...and it smells like lavender..Yummy!!!
and I also received a new addition to my snowman collection!!!!!

Piles of papers and filing

Today no sewing again, did some more online shopping. Did manage to go through some paper piles and also clean out some desk drawers....it was nice to throw away lots of old and now unwanted papers....oh the accumulation of papers!!!!!

I did work on my to do list of things I need to accomplish soon. Cleared a path around the sewing machine in preparation of the sewing to come!!!! Have some patterns out and material washed and dried.

I packaged up a couple of gifts to mail off to Mother in Law. They will go off in the mail in the morning. I could kick myself as I always procrastinate and mail her gift late in December every year, then I am on pins and needles hoping she receives it by Christmas......Maybe next year I will do better.

Every have one of those weeks.....??????

Monday they finished on my root canal.....go back for the final crown on the tooth come first part of January.....same day I got a call at work....DH had fallen off the ladder putting up xmas lights....thankfully one of our son's was home.....and took him to the hospital.....after several hours it was determined it is broken in two places, but clean breaks....and will be a 12 week recovery....
I took truck in on Wednesday for new tires, my car in on Thursday for smog test, xmas potluck at work on Thursday, then doctor for my ankle on Thursday as well.....Yesterday was last day for school.....no work for two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....set voicemail at work....will be back January 4th leave message.....set auto reply email at work...out of the office until January 4th.....done deal....


I have 3 baby quilts to make pronto........and other sewing besides........

Christmas shopping to do yet too!!!!!!.....Might have to make a trip down to the city in the next couple of days......

This is the banner that my dear friend Tracie started for her first Grandbaby before she lost her battle with Cancer. I was honored to finish it in her memory and give it to her son and family for their daughters 1st birthday in August of this year.

Made it to work....

Well, I made it into work today....chains and all....thankfully I did not have to put chains on, on the way home tonight.....ice is beginning to melt some, and they have been sanding. Tonight it will freeze again so roads will be slippery in the morning again!
I kind of like only working 2 1/2 days this week....I could get used to that fast....as long as I could still collect the same pay....HA!
I made my mental list tonight of things I would like to accomplish before Christmas...I will not write it down though as I already know that I will not complete all that I want to do.
Christmas orders are arriving....delivery to the door....I love this online shopping with free shipping!!! what a time saver!!!!
I need to wash fabric that I have purchased.....the fabric is needed for those projects that I want to accomplished before xmas, but refuse to write down.......

Stayed home....I should feel guilty!!!!

Well today I stayed home from work.....the past two days were snow days at school...but I just could not get out onto those roads today...they are way too icy and dangerous.

So today I worked myself through 3 months of previously paid bills and got them organized/filed away....paid all my December bills.....Got things in order for tomorrow at work..papers needed in the briefcase...loaded up and ready!!!!

Now I did do some work related stuff here from home...I did answer my emails and made some phone calls....so I was doing some work...work too...that counts...

I also spent some time looking at patterns of things I would like to sew/quilt..there is so much out there....

Wow, I have forgotten how long it has been since I have done anything with my blog...many things have happened since my last posting back in 2007.

Now the Holidays are upon us...Snow has arrived and I have gotten all my Xmas decorating done inside the house with a couple things outside too....still need to get lights up outside.......

Next thing on the list...everyone has a list right???? RIGHT????....anyway I have things I need to get made for gifts...hopefully they will get done before Xmas.

I have done some shopping online...oh how I love shopping online and that door delivery...shopping wearing my sweatpants, sweatshirt and slippers......no crowds...no lines.....nice cup of tea....ah the experience of it all....now don't get me wrong I still get out there and do a little shopping....

Going to wrap the first delivery of xmas presents to arrive and place under the tree.
