Summer Projects

Here are some summer projects that I have been working on, aprons are for a friend for her job.

Wow how the times passes quickly.

Work takes up so much of my time.

I have been busy working on some quilting projects but can not post pictures as of yet as they are gifts!!!!!.....and I never know what eyes may be watching my blog! Is there a way to tell who is watching or not? Can you tell that this blog tech stuff is still very new to me!!!!!

Working on a quilt, need to get these quilts going...or they will never happen.

I have been busy helping with twins Abby and Alli.....they are just as cute as a bugs ear...their grandma has been out of town as her father passed away back in Indiana, and Abby and Alli's daddy is gone this weekend, it's his reserve (Navy) weekend.....I enjoyed my time Friday evening and again during the day with them...they are so precious.....

Well it's the New Year....and I am already in my first sewing crisis I think......too many things I want to make....and I can't get focused!!!!!!......HELP!!! What will it take......I think I need to be locked in a room and food needs to be left at the door....told I can't come out until I actually accomplish something!!!!

Christmas stuff taken down today

Well, no sewing today....I had the brilliant idea to take down the Christmas tree and all of the other inside decorations today....Sad, Sad day....I just love all the Christmas decorations. I originally had planned to leave them up until next Saturday. I woke this morning and thought, tomorrow is back to work time, I might as well get this over with. Now everything is put away, and I also went through all the Christmas stuff and have one very large box plus two shoe boxes full of things I no longer put up. Neighbor girls will have fun going through the boxes for sure!!! I did pull out some things for DS's also that I knew they would like the other stuff was too girly......
Savoring the last few hours of my vacation, I truly wish I could figure out a way to stay home and still collect a paycheck. I just love being home!!!
My new motto for this NEW YEAR....is my work is not my life!!!!

Baby Quilts

Today I managed to get over half of the first baby quilt material cut out....Loving my new Rotary cutter.....
Do you ever have a problem with your rule moving while cutting fabric? I have, and it is so frustrating....Light bulb went off today after all these years of cutting with a rotary cutter....I decided to slide some of that rubbery mat stuff that you can purchase in the stores in rolls...I use it under my cutting board and such in the kitchen to keep it from moving....Well....HELLO.....It works great for the ruler not moving.....
